Michael Burton:
IR Astronomy in Antarctica - The Story So Far

This was a title of a review talk I gave at the University of Perugia last September, the occasion being the launch of the IRAIT telescope, about to begin its journey from Italy to Dome C. It also serves to tell the story of one part of UNSW's adventures in Antarctica over the past decade, from the IRPS in 1994, through SPIREX at the end of the nineties, to the current push for PILOT.
