David Woods:
The New "WiggleZ" Redshift Survey

I will give a brief overview of the new "WiggleZ" redshift survey that is currently being done at the AAT with the new AAOmega spectrograph. This project has been awarded Long Term status, and has the ultimate goal of collecting ~400,000 galaxy redshifts to allow a precise measurement of the baryonic acoustic oscillations in the power spectrum of galaxies (along with other secondary science). Thus the survey will enable us to accurately determine the nature of dark energy.
