The correlation between radio and far-infrared emission remains one of the most poorly understood properties of galaxies. I review some current thinking on this topic and describe some recent work (done with Annie Hughes, an ATNF summer vacation student) on examining this correlation as a function of scale in the LMC using wavelet analysis.
