The Spitzer Space Telescope (nee SIRTF), is now working and ready for action! I will present the basic details of the telescope (instruments, observing modes, sensitivities, ...), complete with the latest information from the in-orbit checkout, and detail the procedures required for submitting proposals for this latest Great Observatory. This is particularly pertinent given that the deadline is February 14.
