Correct by flatfielding, essentially by shining a uniform light
source onto the detector.
- Pixel to pixel variations in sensitivity (including instrument).
- Can be wavelength dependent (eg with IRIS HgCdTe detectors).
- Use dome flats and/or sky flats.
