Image Reduction

The basic process involves:

• Linearization; eg cubic.
• Bias and dark subtraction.
• Flatfielding; ie correcting for efficiency variations from pixel to pixel.
• Sky subtraction.
• Cleaning: fixed and sporadic bad pixels.
• Coaddition and mosaicing: shifting and adding.

Sometimes must do several iterations of parts of this sequence.
