The University of
New South Wales Concert Band
The UNSW Concert Band is:
- a campus ensemble drawing its members from students and staff
in most faculties.
- a fun way to play good music and to meet other musicians on
campus.
How to join? All potential players should sign up, and also turn
up at rehearsals.
The concert band rehearses:
- on Tuesdays during session, 4:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Clancy
Auditorium
Next concert:
A FREE concert by the UNSW
Concert Band.
In the open air at the Science
Theatre Lawn beside the Webster Building (Grid F13 on campus
map).
The concert begins at 1.10pm and
will go for about 45 minutes.
Under their conductor, Steven
Hillinger, the Concert Band will be playing pieces including:
Strike up the Band - George Gershwin
Ragtime Square - Greg Butcher
Zoot Suit Riot - Steve Perry
Big Band Spectacular - arr. John Higgins
Mission Impossible - Lalo Schifrin
Disney Spectacular - arr. John Moss
A Little Less Conversation - Elvis Presley
