Image of Venus at a wavelength of 2.3 micrometres obtained with IRIS2
on the AAT on Jul 26th 2007. The image shows cloud structure on the
night side of Venus. The sulfuric acid clouds are seen silhouetted
against the hot lower atmosphere that glows at this infrared
wavelength. Bright regions are holes in the cloud where we can see deep
into the atmosphere of Venus.
