Observing with one of the world's largest (and most expensive) telescopes
For four nights starting on January 15, PdD student Stephen Parker (right) observed at the VLT with astronomer Chris Tinney (centre), assisted by ESO staff astronomer Dieter Nuernburger (left). The observing program targeted the detection of planetary mass brown dwarfs in the cluster IC2391 with the HAWK-I camera.
