UNSW's Doppler and Direct group have led a successful LIEF proposal to build the CYCLOPS fibre-feed upgrade for the UCLES spectrograph on the AAT. The grant ($625k in all) will enable the AAO (together with UNSW, U.Sydney, ANU and Monash U.) to implement a fibre feed that should deliver both improved efficiency and improved spectral resolution from UCLES.
