PHYS1141 Higher Physics 1A (Special) and PHYS1241 Higher Physics 1B (Special)

Introduction

Higher Physics 1A (Special) and Higher Physics 1B (Special) are single-session 6UC 'companion' courses developed primarily for Science students who are considering undertaking an Advanced Science degree (Physics Major). The syllabus is the same as PHYS1121 Physics 1A and PHYS1131 Higher Physics 1A, but offer more advanced assessments including separate labs and tutorials.

The courses each comprise formal class time totalling 6 hours per week: 3 x 1 hour lectures, 1 x 1 hour problem solving class, 1 x 2 hour laboratory period.
