Assessment

In
first year physics courses additional
assessment is available for the Final Exam .

Additional
assessment will be of the same format as the Final Exam.
If you apply for special
consideration for the final exam you will be notified of the outcome on
your official University result posted on myUNSW http://my.unsw.edu.au
('WC' result means that you
have been granted additional assessment for medical reasons, and 'WD' means results withheld, contact first year office as soon as possible.)

The supplementary exam will be offered to students who perform to a high enough standard in the exam, and to those who are unable to attend the exam for legitimate reasons.

must ensure you will be available on that day, unless
there are exceptional circumstances.

EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES.
Additional Assessments Term 1 :

Additional Assessment for Final Examination
If you are granted additional assessment you must contact
the First Year Physics Teaching Unit (either in person
or by telephone or by email: firstyear@phys.unsw.edu.au) as soon as possible, and no later than Monday 22 July 2012.
The additional assessment will be held on Thursday 25 July 2013 .
This will be the only opportunity given to you to take
this additional assessment.
You will be registered for the additional assessment.
You will not be permitted to undertake the additional assessment if you just turn up on the day unregistered.
The time and and location of the Additional Assessment will be posted on the first year physics web site: http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/firstyear/index.html.
Hence you must ensure you will be available on that day,
unless there are exceptional circumstances.
BEING INTERSTATE
OR OVERSEAS WORKING OR ON HOLIDAY WILL NOT BE REGARDED AS
EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES.
Additional Assessment Term 2:
- Additional Assessment for Final Examination
If you are granted additional assessment you must contact
the First Year Physics Teaching Unit (either in person
or by telephone or by email: firstyear@phys.unsw.edu.au) as soon as possible, and no later than Monday 25 November 2013.
The additional assessment will be held on Friday 29 November 2013 .
This will be the only opportunity given to you to take
this additional assessment.
You will be registered for the additional assessment.
You will not be permitted to undertake the additional assessment if you just turn up on the day unregistered.
The time and and location of the Additional Assessment will be posted on the first year physics web site: http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/firstyear/index.html.
Hence you must ensure you will be available on that day,
unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The mark you gain in a test attempted in your Session
2 additional assessment will be used for your final
mark.

Additional Assessment for Summer Session U1 Courses PHYS1221 & PHYS1231 (2012/2013):
- Additional Assessment for Final Examination
If you are granted additional assessment you must contact the First Year Physics Teaching Unit (either in person or by telephone or by email: firstyear@phys.unsw.edu.au) as soon as possible, and no later than Monday 25 February 2013.
The additional assessment will be held on Wednesday 27 February 2013.
This will be the only opportunity given to you to take
this additional assessment.
You will be registered for the additional assessment.
You will not be permitted to undertake the additional assessment if you just turn up on the day unregistered.
The time and and location of the Additional Assessment will be posted on the notice boards outside the Room LG03, OMB, and on the first year physics web site: http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/COURSES/FIRST_YEAR/index.html.
Hence you must ensure you will be available on that day,
unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The mark you gain in a test attempted in your Summer Session additional assessment will be used for your final
mark.
