Cosmology is the "study or philosophy of the universe as an ordered whole". Of key importance therefore is what our concept of "the universe" is. Spend 5 to 10 minutes jotting down what concept you have of the universe and be prepared to share and discuss this at the tutorial. To help focus on this, list all the different kinds of cosmic objects you can think of and write down what you understand the earth's relation to these to be, in terms of relative location, size and distance. (There is no need to consult a textbook in doing this exercise.)
