Research Interests

  • Surface science and technology. Preparation of films and coatings by physical and chemical vapour deposition techniques.
  • Characterisation of light-emitting materials (porous, spark-processed and oxidised silicon) using scanning probe microscopy (STM/AFM), SEM, LEED, measurements of electro- and photo-luminescence.
  • Studies of clean silicon and germanium surfaces on atomic level.
