Research Interests
- Microcharacterisation of the defect structures of wide band gap and insulating materials, in particular silicon dioxide polymorphs, III-V semiconductors, silicon and diamond, and nanostructured variants of these materials.
- Irradiation induced microstructural defect generation and transformation in wide band gap and insulating materials.
- Charge trapping in wide band gap and insulating materials (electron/ion - material interactions).
- Cathodoluminescence Microanalysis (spectroscopy and microscopy).
- Scanning Electron Microscopy/ Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy.
- Scanning Probe Microscopy, in particular electric/potential techniques.
