Research
Modelling the Ionosphere
A computer model of the equatorial ionosphere
is being developed to simulate the effects of winds and electric
fields on ionisation profiles. This may later be integrated with
another model of electric currents and fields.
The Lunar Tide
Another investigation looks at the lunar
tide in the atmosphere, both from an observational and theoretical
point of view. This work follows on to examine lunar tidal effects
on ionisation densities and electric currents.
