Teaching Awards for the School of Physics

Several staff in the School of Physics, both academic and general staff, received teaching awards during 2006:

Professor Joe Wolfe was recognised for his contributions to student learning at the 2006 NSW Quality Teaching Awards. The awards, conducted by the Australian College of Educators, celebrate teaching practices that engage and inspire students across the primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors.

Associate Professor Richard Newbury and Dr John Smith received Vice-Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence. There were only six prizes awarded across UNSW in 2006, and staff from the School of Physics received two of these.
